Helping Out

"What could I do to help?"

We'd like to welcome all types of help:

  • What about helping in the kitchen on match days / training days?

  • What about offering to work as a Parent Team Manager?

  • What about trying some coaching?

  • What about refereeing?

  • What about raising money for the Junior Section?

  • What about offering to help with car lifts to matches?

Llangefni Rugby Club Junior Section is eager to gain far more parents' and family support. Often, coaches are not available to be in more than one place at a time and should concentrate on coaching and matches. He or she may not be able to give personal attention when there is disappointment or an injury. We would welcome seeing parents supporting by stepping in and support their children. We wish to see parents staying during coaching sessions and home and away matches.

Sunday morning training sessions will give parents a chance to mingle and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in the Club.

If you would like to help out, there's plenty to do from putting out some flags and cones to joining the junior section committee. For away games, players really appreciate your support on the touch line even if you are unable to do this every week.

Catering

We provide a healthy meal for every player who plays on a Sunday at home — including away teams. Some times we feed as many as 200 people. If you can spare just one Sunday in the year this would make a huge difference. You won’t be on your own — usually there are four or five other people helping and it can even be fun — you can certainly meet new people and make new friends.

If you are able to provide help or a suggestion please either turn up at the club where there will be someone to discuss the matter with you or e-mail us.
