Code of Conduct

Llangefni RFC Junior Section

2011/2012 Season

To be adhered to throughout the season with no exceptions.

THE CODE OF CONDUCT

(Presented to every player and Parent when registering). This Code is to be signed by the Player and the Parent.

The Welsh Rugby Union places emphasis on the duty of all players and Member Clubs to ensure that the game is played at every level in accordance with good discipline and fair play.

The club administers disciplinary procedures through an internal Disciplinary Committee which will convene if deemed necessary following a serious breach or breaches of conduct.

Players are expected to.....:

  • Be properly dressed for the game and training.

  • Learn the laws of the game and abide by them.

  • Make a personal commitment to keep fit at all times.

  • Never argue with the referee's decision.

  • Control your temper on the field of play, do not over react, and do not take unfair advantage of any player during matches or training.

  • Work equally hard for yourself and your team.

  • Ignore comments from spectators and concentrate on own and teams performance.

  • Cooperate with team mates, coaches and referee, without them there is no game.

  • Accept discipline without question whether during a match or training.

  • Never use foul and abusive language.

  • Arrive for training and matches on time and be prepared to learn and listen to directions given by the coaching team and team management at all times.

  • Strive to improve your performance through your own practice between training sessions.

The purpose of training is to learn in an enjoyable environment, skills and rules of the game, not to waste yours and the time of others who are willing to learn and the coaches who give up their free time voluntarily.

Poor behavior which disrupts training will not be tolerated. The coaches and team managers will administer a “three strikes and out” policy to a player(s) where their behavior breaches this Code of conduct. This will involve two verbal warnings where upon the third warning, the player will be asked to sit out training and may even miss the following club match. The decision will rest with the coaching team or the Junior Section Disciplinary Committee.

Misbehavior or actions that bring Llangefni RFC into disrepute will not be tolerated and such behavior would incur sanctions.

Help with clearing the training area / playing field and keep resources used by your team according to instruction.

Parents are expected to:

  • Encourage your child to play by the rules.

  • Teach your child the importance of teamwork.

  • Help your child to improve their skills and to be positive about the game.

  • Set an example to your child and promote fair play.

  • Applaud good play by your team and the opposition.

  • Be friendly to parents from the opposition teams.

  • Do not question the referee's decisions.

  • Support all efforts to eradicate verbal and physical abuse on and off the field.

  • Recognize and value the importance of coaches and referee's who give up their free time voluntarily.

  • Never use foul and abusive language.

  • Not to behave in a way that attracts complaints or that brings the name of  Llangefni RFC into disrepute. Such behaviour will not be tolerated and would incur sanctions.

To all Players and Parents/Guardians

The Junior Section Officials and Llangefni RFC Club Officials will not accept poor, unacceptable or abusive behavior from any player from the Junior Section or involving a parent/guardian. Such behavior will not be tolerated by the Junior Section and the Club Controlling Committee.
